One thing I love about pets is they know exactly who they are and what they are here for! When I think about the absolute clarity and endless love that my darling Coco offered all who met her, it creates total awe in me.
From the first moment I set eyes on her, she found a myriad of creative ways to demonstrate the insights she was here to share and her supersonic personality created so many adventures we would never have had otherwise. (Funny doesn't cover it!!!)
It is instructional to watch an animal live their purpose in every moment, always persisting even when the obstacles seem insurmountable… Looking back I must have been pretty hard work at times for a little dog who was all about celebrating the moment and finding joyful possibilities everywhere!!
So how do we find that same spirit within ourselves? That beautiful clarity, that sharing of our beingness so strongly that we persist in creating our vision… and the absolute joy we find in being our authentic selves?
One of the best ways I know of is to write… anything… whatever is inside you… without editing!! When I do this, wisdom comes out that I had no idea was in there! In writing often and consistently, we remove all of the clutter from our mind, allowing what’s in our heart to shine through. Julia Cameron calls this the morning pages… I’ve taken to calling mine Inspiration Pages… seems like a lot more fun!!
Here’s a recent gem from my Inspiration Pages…
“Wherever you are in the world and whatever you are doing there is always an underlying search for where you belong. The employee with the unusual ideas often does not belong – either they leave, looking for that familiar comfortable feeling of belonging, or, they are increasingly marginalized and excluded from contributing if the culture does not support diversity. Oneness does not mean sameness, it is the allowance and celebration of everyone’s differences!”
What little gems are inside you just waiting to pop up for the world to discover? Feel free to share them here…
