Saturday Sensorialist - Spirals... and more!

Lisa Murray - Saturday, February 25, 2012

What is bringing you bliss today? I'm making spirals out of pretty things!

These were my Nanna's pearls - I got inspired and made them into something just a little more funky a couple of weeks ago.  There is always bliss in creating something that has never existed before :)

What are the simple pleasures that immerse you in a state of bliss?

Saturday Sensorialist - Not Broken

Lisa Murray - Saturday, February 18, 2012

What if you stop fixing you and start living... expanding, creating, generating, expressing, being, caring, contributing...?

What else could be possible?  You are amazing just as you are... and what else would you like to have??

Saturday Sensorialist - Genie Dreams

Lisa Murray - Saturday, August 27, 2011

It's raining here today and I'm feeling creative...  when we immerse ourselves in the energy of our dreams and send out little trickles to everyone who would like to have that adventure with us... magic shows up!

Today the energies of beauty and elegance feel like they would love to be added to my life... so I'm having a little clean up (truly universe, what would it take for me to be naturally tidy??), breathing the beauty and elegance in (burning some lovely vanilla candles) and looking creatively at where I can bring more beauty into my world :)  Bliss!!

What sensorial delights are you creating to bring bliss into your living today?

Saturday Sensorialist - Be Still

Lisa Murray - Saturday, August 06, 2011

Sometimes the most profoundly sensorial moments come from being still and being totally in the moment.  Wherever you are today, take a few moments to simply stop and be still, and notice everything around you... the seen and the unseen!

Does your universe feel different when you do that?
Did you feel more space?
What did you have awareness of that you never noticed before?

Bliss is found in the small quiet moments, as well as the larger than life celebrations.

Have a beautiful, blissful Saturday. Know you are loved and all is well.
:-) Lisa

Saturday Sensorialist - BE Free

Lisa Murray - Saturday, June 18, 2011

Freedom has been a recurrent theme in my life and when I read this I went 'OH YES!!'  This is so the place that I desire to operate from.

Sometimes the greatest sensorial experiences are not so much physical but simply BEing.  When we feel the freedom of fully BEing who we are, so much changes in our universe and that of the people who come into contact with us!

When you meet people who have an inner freedom it is noticeable because of the sense of space and lightness that comes with them.  A few tools I use daily on my quest to BE free are:

  • To see everything as an interesting point of view... when we are unmoved by the points of view put forward by other people (or our habitual selves) we have total allowance and total freedom.  No need for resisting and reacting when we are choosing freedom inside... it ceases to matter!
  • To look at my limitations and ask 'Would an infinite being truly choose this?'  If not then why am I???
  • To always be asking questions about what else is possible... I never settle for the limitations in front of me.  I am always looking for the possibility I haven't seen before or that has not shown up before because I was stuck in my (often) limited point of view.
These three tools sound very simple, but used on everything in your life will create immense amounts of that beautiful energy we call freedom!!  How much more freedom could we contribute to the universe?  Would there be a need for wars if enough of us were to choose freedom from the inside out?  When we care for ourselves in these nurturing ways, our bliss spreads through the universe... Nelson Mandela is living proof of this!

Saturday Sensorialist - Foot Fetish

Lisa Murray - Saturday, June 04, 2011

This week I’ve been obsessed with the idea of someone giving me a foot massage… one of those ones where you can just lie in the sun and drift off to sleep while your feet are caressed for hours by  someone who loves you!  that's definitely what I call bliss!!

I also love giving foot massages, especially late night after a few drinks when everyone is sitting around deep in conversation… there is something really relaxing about the repetitive movement and watching the other person drift into a relaxed happy state…

We give our bodies so little pleasure given how hard they work for us! Would you be willing to rub a little peppermint infused moisturizer into your feet this weekend? (Or better still find someone you can swap with so you both get to enjoy?)

It’s time to show a little gratitude to the feet that take you everywhere!  Your feet will love you and the rest of your body will too… a foot massage offers gentle reflexology benefits too!

If a massage isn't your thing... try walking on different textures...or adding some texture!  They all massage our feet in different ways...pure bliss!!

Saturday Sensorialist - Gifting to the Earth

Lisa Murray - Saturday, April 23, 2011

Love love love this interview with Tim Bothams, phenomenal sustainable farming expert and nurturer of our beautiful earth... (and conscious man who follows his bliss!) please listen in honour of Earth Day!  What if you could gift to the earth just by being happy?

And what if we could be more aware of our food choices... love my local farmers market too!
Would you be willing to be more conscious in your choices for you and the earth?  We can all contribute, wherever and whenever we choose!

Choose bliss...
xx

Saturday Sensorialist - Breakfast Brilliance

Lisa Murray - Saturday, April 16, 2011

There was a time when breakfast didn't exist for me.  I don't love eating when I first wake up and when I worked in corporate this meant a cup of hot chocolate when I got to work was the extent of my morning meal.

Over time I've come to enjoy breakfast quite a lot more...thanks to many a long and luscious breakfast in leisurely fashion with good friends who also happen to be awesome cooks... and the occasional cafe that makes breakfast into an art form (Anouk and Bill's are two big faves...)

I always love the discovery of new recipes and ideas for breakfast... Imagine my delight this morning to discover the BKFST blog - a photo fest of scrumptious mouthwatering ideas!  Now, will I choose the french toast, the pancakes or scrambled eggs with cream...???  Bliss!!

Saturday Sensorialist - Immerse Yourself!

Lisa Murray - Saturday, April 09, 2011

I love this colour and I love flowers... mixing them together feels exotic and luscious! How often do you immerse yourself in the things you truly love?  Is your environment filled with things you love or is it a functional mess of blandness or boringness?

When we surround ourselves with things of beauty (including the people we love), it talks to our spirit at the deepest levels.  What treat could you gift yourself today that will remind you of who you truly are?

Do tell!! What sort of blissbomb are you choosing today?

Saturday Sensorialist - Bath Bliss

Lisa Murray - Saturday, April 02, 2011

I love having a salt bath.  It just makes me feel happy!  Here's a simple recipe for a relaxing soothing bath that will soak away all of your stress, soften your skin, remove acidity and allow you to let go of anything you are holding onto emotionally... soak, breathe and release...

Arrange for the kids... pets... your insignificant other to be quiet or somewhere else.  Make the bathroom beautiful, light some candles and put on some soft soothing music... and dip into your bliss!

Mix 2 cups of Epsom salt, ½ cup of raw apple cider vinegar, ¼ cup of baking soda and a few drops of lavender oil in a warm tub and soak your cares away...  You can also add a dot of sandlewood oil to your third eye if you'd like to release all of the energies of other people's thoughts... you might just find your mind is refreshingly clear after this!

Enjoy nurturing your body... it gifts you so much everyday!
