Sunday Serenity - You Are Never Alone

Lisa Murray - Sunday, March 11, 2012

Are you aware you have an infinite connection with everything in the universe?  That no matter how much you love to 'be alone' (or hate it!) you are never truly alone?

When you sit quietly in nature, do you feel alone, or do you feel connected with every grain of sand... every tiny creature... and every molecule that has ever been?

When we have peace with the sense of being alone and yet are totally connect with everything, we no longer make 'alone' a wrongness. Often, with this peace, our feelings of loneliness dissipate with ease if we are willing to allow this change to show up.

This sense of peace is what allows us to more tangibly connect with people and other living creatures in a way that is a gift to all. Have you noticed how much more people want to spend time with you when you have a sense of peace in your world rather than loneliness?

So next time you are feeling alone, would you be willing to quietly sense your total connection with everything that is, everything that has ever been, and everything that ever will be?  The vastness of sensing our connection to the universe in this way truly is extraordinary...

What is your sense of being alone?  And how would you like it to be?

For me, I celebrate my 'alone' times... there's not nearly enough of them anymore!

Sunday Serenity - Harmony And Resolution

Lisa Murray - Sunday, August 28, 2011

Within this beautiful spiral shell there is darkness and light.  I had a wonderful conversation with a friend this week about how often we keep the darkness hidden away and squashed inside and only allow the light to be seen because that's what we have been told is 'acceptable'.

Whether we admit it or not, somewhere in our depths, most of us have more issues than Vogue. And we keep them well hidden until such time as they burst to the surface, dripping unresolved emotions everywhere.  As the energy on our planet is in upheaval, so it is within us at this time.  Much is surfacing to be harmonised and resolved.

What could change if we were to start questioning what is 'acceptable' and to start to follow our own knowing?  It seems pretty clear that the traditional ways of dealing with the darkness hasn't exactly created peace and light in the world!!  From that space of clarity and inner knowing we can generate the peace and harmony that comes from resolving or espressing the dark and hidden places that have held us captive until now.

When we get over the idea that the darkness is 'wrong' and the light is 'right' it opens a door for us to look at both aspects and how they can offer new possibilities.  As the divine feminine energy moves into place and we start to operate from a place of flow instead of force, all of us have the possibility of experiencing how much capacity the darkness has to create a potency in our life that allows greater possibilities to show up.

This potency is created within us when we make peace with the darkness.  When we know that we have what it takes to move beyond the darkness.  When we have gratitude for the contributions the darkness has made in our life and we are willing to step into a lighter place without a backward glance.

Resolving the darkness is not an invitation to splatter your darkness everywhere all over people through fear, anger, abuse or any other emotion of force... It is an invitation to look at the darkness with awareness,  to remove its power to inflict harm, and allow the insights gained from that process to contribute to a different possibility for the rest of your life.  So what does this mean in practical terms?

Would you have more peace and harmony if you...
  • stopped creating friction as a way of proving you are alive and looked for the possibilities of ease and joy?
  • focused on what the lightness can contribute instead of what the darkness is not contributing?
  • asked the darkness what it could contribute to you if you saw it differently?
  • celebrated the darkness and turned on the party lights?
  • reviewed everything in your life that is no longer serving you and simply let it go, without having to be 'right' or to explain and justify your choices?
  • stopped creating your dreams from a fantasy based on the past, and simply looked at what you desire right now?
  • allowed relationships and beliefs that are based in lack, fear and anger to slip quietly away?
I am definitely not suggesting you become a doormat, quite the opposite!  When we allow the darkness to have no power over us, and to contribute the potency it has created within us, we become very clear about what we are choosing.  We set boundaries, we speak up for ourselves and we follow the path that offers peace and harmony, even if we have to climb a couple of boulders along the way.  It is okay to roar!  It is important to be heard.  When you can do this from a space of darkness resolved, rather than the underlying unresolved issue, your potency will not be mistaken as anger!

Peace and harmony can be created from darkness.  So wherever we see these energies playing out around us, it is up to us to ask 'What energies could I be, do or contribute here that could change this in an instant?'   When we stop contributing to disharmony, much can change... more space and lightness shows up on the inside and the outside!!

As I have followed this process in my own life over the past few weeks and months I have come to see the value in recognising both sides.  All of a sudden we see the 'thing' that keeps us in the spiral pattern of repeating an issue, rather than being able to graciously move into a lighter, more blissful, more joyful reality.  Once we have shone a light onto the 'thing' it can no longer trigger the darkness in us... instead we can wallow in the bliss and sparkle! Simply beautiful!

As we go, so goes the earth.  Every time we shift the darkness we allow more lightness into our beautiful planet.  That lightness both heals and allows for greater transparency in places where there is still unresolved darkness - for us personally and on a global scale... all change truly starts with us!

Have a beautiful Sunday... take a few moments to find some peace within :)

Sunday Serenity - Now Is The Perfect Time

Lisa Murray - Sunday, June 12, 2011

As those of you who know me will attest, I tend to be impatient.  My mother once said to me 'the problem with you is you want to live your whole life at once.'  And yes... that has always been my point of view... if I've thought of it then I'd like it NOW please!!  What do you mean I have to wait??

The last few months have been a journey of exploring 'right timing'.  I have found that I couldn't force anything, that I have had to be patient way beyond my normal capacity (or desire ;-) lol)... and once I got over the frustration of things moving so slowly I discovered yet another great adventure!

In playing with the concept of flow, I have seen that all I need to do is get the energy of what I desire and then do whatever feels most like that energy each day.  It's like BEing water... follow the path of ease and you'll end up exactly where you need to be in exactly the perfect timing!  There are no mistakes.  There are  no wrong turns...  Always there is the question of what can I create from the space I am in right now?

I have seen this occur over and over and over in the past few months.  Much to my surprise!  And even more fascinating has been to see how, when I stop trying to force anything but simply make the demand for what I require, without having a point of view about whether I get it or not, that the most phenomenal possibilities are showing up effortlessly.

I have come to see this process as a moving meditation of creating flow with ease.  (And for someone who isn't big on sitting still and chanting OM, that is a beautiful thing! Meditative states are found in all sorts of surprising ways!)

So today is a great time to start moving in your own flow.  Unhurriedly, serenely, and with total awareness of what would gift you the most serenity in this moment...  What if time really doesn't matter?  What would you choose today? Could total bliss be on the menu?

Sunday Serenity - Love In The Moment

Lisa Murray - Sunday, May 29, 2011

I woke up this morning with a head full of stuff... so many little things need attention over the next week and I was having a 'where to start' moment!  Because, actually, I didn't feel like working, I felt like messing about in the kitchen... an earlier trip to the Noosa Farmers Markets had put me in the inspiration zone!

One of the fastest ways to find your serenity (besides breathing deeply) is to do something you love.  So, I made some marinated feta... beautiful creamy danish feta, rich fruity virgin olive oil, and some fresh herbs from the garden... 10 minutes of creating bliss for my tastebuds!

Now I can imagine at least 10 luscious things I can do with this feta... and those creative thoughts are going to keep me happy and serene for quite a while (yes, I'm a food lush - just thinking about the possibilities makes me drool deliriously!!)

And now I'm ready to look at what really does require attention today if I want to have a free-flowing productive week!  So if you are looking for a little more serenity in your day... do the thing that will make you drool love and feel nurtured first... and once you feel more than a little bit happy, go and do the thing that really needs your love in this moment... pure bliss - I promise!!

Letting Ani DiFranco lull me into a cool, calm sense of serenity today... lots to do so moving with the flow!

What are your fave songs for riding the flow?

Sunday Serenity - Peace And Then Some!

Lisa Murray - Sunday, April 24, 2011

Today I have a day at home by myself - a rare occurrence and one I'm grateful for - it is rejuvenating for me!  While I did skip off to my brother's this morning for a few hours of easter egg hunts, chocolate hot cross buns, making easter egg paper collages with my niece and nephew and joyful conversation, I'm home now and in a peaceful flow.

Playing with my Soul Coaching cards... here are the messages I received when asking for some beautiful serenity insights to share :-)

Peace...True peace is not static and boring...it's full of grace, enthusiasm and vitality! Serenity is within.  (I'm sure this one was especially for me... I will never think of peace as boring again!!)

Power...Reclaim your inner abilities and divine strength... use your wisdom and grace to bring healing to others.

Acceptance...When you are not in allowance of ALL of you, you deny who you truly be.  There are no wrong experiences.

Inspiration...Creativity and inspiration are a blessing... are we willing to receive stimulating ideas that revitalize us?

Silence...The silent still place within is our source of potency... in the silence our full awareness becomes conscious.

What choice could you make today that could contribute more serenity to your blissful living?
Happy Easter, I hope you have been able to enjoy some serenity and rejuvenation!

Sunday Serenity - Know You Belong

Lisa Murray - Sunday, April 17, 2011

My favourite Auntie sent me these beautiful pictures this morning... it reminded me of how important it is that we know we belong, no matter how different we are!

I am always so grateful for the support of my family and the friends I have had since I was young (ok, I still am young ;-)  They know me and love me whatever I'm choosing for my life - even if it looks a little crazy to them!

Today is a day for basking in the love of those you know love you without judgment... and that includes yourself... spend a few minutes without judging yourself for anything and see how much more peaceful you are!

Wishing you a day filled with serenity, joy and celebrating the difference you BE!

Sunday Serenity - Let Go

Lisa Murray - Sunday, March 27, 2011

I'm not sure there is anymore to say!!  Except maybe a gentle reminder that this is about letting go of all the expectations and projections we have put into our life for the future... living in the now... and knowing... when we hold tight, there is no room to grow, when we let go, blissful ease will flow.

Sunday Serenity: Tibetan Singing Bowls

Lisa Murray - Sunday, March 20, 2011
Do you have a meditation practice?  I like to vary mine - sitting still for hours gets boring for me!

A beautiful exercise is to do a Tibetan Singing Bowl meditation.  I simply sit still in a quiet dark room and allow the music to wash over me... the immersion creates the lovely sense of stillness and peace which I sometimes crave (perfect for sensitive people who need to slow down the adrenals!)

Tibetan singing bowl sounds are wonderful for diminishing stress, clearing a room of negative energies and creating new flows of energy!  Enjoy the bliss!

Tibetan singing bowls have been used since at least the 8th Century in Asia... what possibilities for healing, relaxation and peace could they create for you?

I love some Sunday serenity... seems to make the whole week flow better!
